Overview
Izborsk Farm is a small, family-owned goat farm in the Pskov region of Russia, offering handcrafted dairy products from purebred Czech goats. The website serves as both a digital storefront and a storytelling platform, reflecting the farm’s values of natural living.
Visit Izborsk FarmChallenge
The main goal was to create a simple, trustworthy, and charming web experience that communicates the authenticity of the farm and makes its products and philosophy accessible to a broader audience. The design needed to capture the feel of a personal visit to the farm while being functional for users seeking information, products, or contact details.
Approach
The site was built with a focus on:
- Simplicity and storytelling – Clean design with warm, rustic visuals to reflect the lifestyle and atmosphere of the farm.
- Clarity – Clear structure with dedicated sections for the farm’s story, product offerings, contact information, and blog content.
- Trust and transparency – Real photography, informal language, and personal touches (like a blog by one of the founders) help create a strong emotional connection with users.
Design highlights

Responsive Design
The website was designed to be fully responsive and accessible across all major devices. Special attention was given to mobile layouts, ensuring that the storytelling experience, imagery, and navigation remain clear and engaging on smaller screens.
Reflection
This project was a refreshing experience that combined digital design with storytelling rooted in nature, tradition, and family values. It taught me how to create a user experience that feels both personal and purposeful. Balancing emotional connection with clarity and usability was key—from structuring product information to presenting the family’s story in an honest, engaging way.
